Maybe Too Harsh?

Yeah, well I don't care.

I stopped in at this town's PetCo over a month ago to pick up my bird's favorite food. I went to PetSmart, which I've been in love with since they opened, but they don't carry my bird's food. After finding the food, I wandered around looking for toys but decided not to get any because several of the unpackaged toys, along with the shelf of medicines and vitamins next to it, were covered in wild bird poop. It was because the store uses signs directly above the section that end up being perfect perches for the wild birds that end up living in the store. I informed them as i checked out, assuming they just didn't notice that an entire row of toys was caked with poop. I went in again a week later with my husband and it was still there. I was mad then, but he held me back from saying anything.

I actually had forgotten all about it and I wanted to get Rigel some new foot toys and stuff this week. I walked around but the first thing I saw was those toys still covered in poop, so I decided to make a point. I wandered around picking up a dozen of the nicer toys that I have wanted to get him, but hadn't due to price. I then picked up the 3 toys that were so caked they stuck together and proceeded to the checkout. I told them I was going to buy all this stuff...but then I saw this, now count up how much money you just lost. Oh, and this isn't all of it, just the worst. You might want to take care of that. Then I walked out before they could say anything, because I'm not interested in their excuses or apologies, I just wanted them to fix the problem.

Bad Day

Its getting a bit warm, so I guess its time to close the windows and run the AC. :(

On top of yesterday's unpleasantness, today hasn't been great either. I completely blanked out on my Chemistry test, and I'm just crossing my fingers that my guesses keep me above failing. I stayed up so late studying last night that I didn't finish the homework due today, but I meant to finish it after Government. Instead, I forgot and drove home to work out, have lunch, play with the bird, run the dishwasher all before I realized. Its not quite too late now, but I'm done for the week. Oh, upside: 96% on yesterday's Government test, which brings me up to an A.

The crickets have invaded the school. I blame the extra rain, but I'm not ruling out that the biology department lost control of an experiment. I mean a couple weeks ago, it was "Oh, man, there's quite a few crickets running around the halls" and last week it was "Oh man, thats a huge cricket and would people please stop squishing them?" *Blech* Now you can walk up to the building to a racket that sounds like midnight in a swamp, the outside walls are covered in crickets, outside trashcans are overflowing, and you have to actively plan your route down the hallways to not step on the ones people have stomped. I'm sorry, but the only thing nastier than a live bug is a squished bug. PLEASE STOP SQUISHING THE CRICKETS AND HIRE AN EXTERMINATOR OR SOMETHING!

That's it, I need some Sake.

I Smell Bad

I just got back from running a bit, so I smell kinda funky.
Thought you should know.

Traci, I'll see you tomorrow probably around noon. Yay!

We put the deposit on a new apartment yesterday. It is very nice, and we move in next Saturday. Its going to be a busy few weeks. We decided to not transfer our land line, but to cancel it. We are going tonight to get cellphones. The cheapest phones I can get. I hate cellphones. Help me please.

First, after a quick shower, I'm off to the post office to send out my hair clippings and a box I really meant to send off a few months ago. Seriously, who puts me in charge of stuff, and what drugs are they on?

Speaking of being on drugs, I stopped taking the Vicadin and Ibuprophin they gave me for my gums. I think it was making me feel quesy, and my gums don't hurt that bad now. They did hurt a bit yesterday after he took the stitches out. Okay, alot of hurting, but I can take it. There are only a few pills left anyway, but I can take them if it starts hurting for some reason.

Oh, even though I ran today, it wasn't for my test. The only female who could measure my waist went home sick today, so I put off my leave 2 days for nothing. I have to test next Thursday, after I've been on leave (read: not exercising) for a week.

:( darn it all to heck :(

Numb-Nostrils

Oh the pain. Oh the a.go.ny. Oh the nastiness.

Yeah so I've had my gums trimmed up, and its pretty gross looking. They used alot of needles on me because the numbness kept going away. My lip, cheekbones, and nose are all still numb but the pills havn't kicked in yet. Weirdest sensation in the world? Numb nostrils. You should try it sometime.

So the doctor forgot to give me a quarters slip for tomorrow, and Hubby called the dental clinic to see if he could go back and pick it up. They said unless he gave it to me while we were there, I couldn't have it. Dammit, so I guess I have to go to work tomorrow. W.T.F?!

I'm gonna have some ice cream and pout.

Slither

Robert (an uber-fan of my glorious blogs) was asking if I have, or will be, watching the new movie Slither. I try to stay away from just those sorts of films. Which one was it where people were crap-birthing these nasty aliens? Something about dreamcatchers I think. Michael remembers. I think my favorite Browncoat is in it, but still...

I'm still hanging out in Florida for a couple more months. I can't wait to get back to the hubby in TX. Ugh! I can't believe I want to go back to Texass.

I should really be asleep about now, in preperation for a long day walking around the Kennedy Space Center tomorrow. I'm kinda excited again, we'll see. I've spent my entire day today reading Absolution Gap, and I've only got...lets see...87 pages to go. It's been ages since it has taken me this long to read a book. I started it in January I think. I guess its just a point of pride for me to finish it before I go to bed tonight. I used to read entire 800 page novels in a day, often starting at 8am and finishing at 4am....which in my reckoning is a day since its less than 24 hours, so piss off :P

I am sitting rather awkwardly with my legs crossed and my laptop on my lap. Where else? Anyway my left foot is asleep, and I'm dreading the period of waking-up that follows.

OK, there goes the foot....OWWWWWWWWWW

After that, I read this:
"I said-" Orca Cruz began.
He crunched his fingers down on the eye, shattering it. Something crome-yellow emerged in smoky wisps. A moment later Cruz felt the nerve agent infiltrate her lungs.
No one had to tell her it would be fatal.

Dude, guy gouged out his own eye and it was full of nerve agent.

A Bit Nutty

OK, I have a... i dunno what its called. Aversion? Anyway I cannot stand food being anywhere near the bathroom, or food and bathroom stuff being close together (like in a grocery bag).

So if a hotel room doesn't have a kitchenette, they usually put the coffeemaker on the bathroom counter. Then I come in, clean it, and move it to the nightstand, because that's just nasty. Think Austin Powers *a bit nutty*. Well this hotel has attached the power cable to the counter, so I can't move it. So no coffee for me.

Oh, and Letterman nailed Bill O'Reily on his show last night. It's been on the news all afternoon. Just too damn good to miss.
